WEI “WADE” ZHU

EXPERIENCE
Mr. Zhu is located in the firm’s Shanghai office, where he is an intellectual property attorney for the China Alliance.  He assists clients in applying for patents in China and the United States. His expertise mainly focuses on drafting Chinese and U.S. patent applications and handling responses to office actions from the patent office. He focuses on drafting mechanical products, such as optical communication components, optical disc drivers, and kitchen appliances. Mr. Zhu also assists with cross-cultural counseling with respect to intellectual property protection in China.  He conducts anti-infringement patent searches, product infringement analysis, and provides advice concerning defense of infringement claims. In 2002, Mr. Zhu acquired patent agent qualification from the Chinese State Intellectual Property Office. Before joining the China Alliance, Mr. Zhu's work experience included three years as an in-house patent engineer for a multi-national manufacturing enterprise.
