Mr. Shen is a patent engineer in the firm's Shanghai office. He focuses his practice primarily in the electrical and mechanical engineering fields.  Mr. Shen has experience in drafting and preparing responses for both China and U.S. patent applications. His work experience includes assisting international clients in: 

• Providing product infringement analysis, pre-marketing anti-infringement patent searching, and assistance to in-house counsel regarding a non-infringement defense
• Processing both China and U.S. patent applications for computer enclosures; consumer electronics, such as game machines, mobile phones, portable DVD players, digital cameras; thermal electronic technology, such as heating and cooling products, thermal module for notebook computer and thermal interface materials; and kitchen appliances

SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Assisted China patent attorneys in taking legal action against several China competitors regarding a heat sink sold in the Chinese market that resulted in favorable settlements and royalties
• Assisted U.S. patent attorneys with an invalidation defense regarding a heat sink sold in the U.S. market that resulted in favorable settlements

Participated in several advanced patent practice training courses instructed by senior patent agents, State Intellectual Property officers, and U.S. patent litigation specialists.
